Success for TennisLeagueNetworks First National Tennis Tourney

Waltham, MA- The first yearly USA tourney of the Tennis League Network (TLN), which manages local web based tennis communities in 34 US cities, was a large success, says TLN CEO Steve Chagnan. Held November 6-8 at Crandon Park Tennis Center in Miami, FL, The event, played on hard courts, pulled 31 tennis participants of all skill levels– all of them winners in their respective local TLN leagues.

The tournament surpassed my wildest expectations. The Crandon Park and weather were perfect, and the players were sociable and enthusiastic, said Chagnan. Players who won their respective season playoffs local leagues received free entrance into the tournament.

The metro area seasons under the TLN umbrella serve to associate local, committed tennis players who want to play a lot of tennis. We make sure that tennis participants are attached with equally skilled tennis partners. Matches are played predominantly on public courts. It has been a highly successful program, Chagnan said. Since 2006, there have been more than 42,700 matches played; 2009 saw a 51% increase.

After many years of determining local champions, the conception of the National tourney was dreamt up to give these players a whole new level of involvement. Now we get to see who really has the best players; Washington DC, Los Angeles, Houston or maybe a player from a lower franchise like Minneapolis. At the very least it will be a too much tennis with some great early Nov. weather.

Enrollment begins in early January for the 2010 season for TLNs 33 web based communities, which are committed to bringing together local tennis tennis participants of every level — from beginners to advanced– who want to participate in a lot of singles tennis matches and make new tennis friends. We make sure that both men and women are connected with tennis partners of similar tennis ablilites, says Chagnan.
