Brochure and Postcard Marketing

Filed under: PR, Web Of Printers, World Of Marketing — admin at 8:44 pm on Sunday, October 4, 2009

Brochures and postcards can be very efficient promotional and marketing tools. Given this, most companies have them printed by printing companies for their advertising requirements. The prices of these change depending on the type of brochures that they require. To obtain the best prices, most companies ask numerous printing companies for quotes so they can have more choices. If you find yourself or your company wanting the services of printing companies to print your brochures or postcards, here are a few helpful hints that will help you narrow down your search.

Digital vs. Offset

One of the primary things you need to do is to set your budget for the project because this will help you determine on the type of printing job that you require and can afford. I, digital printing is less expensive than offset printing. On the other hand, it is always a nice idea to check for the finest quality and not merely the price, so you need to be meticulous in making your decisions.

An added way you can save money is to do the design yourself and just submit it to the printer for printing; this can help you avoid paying for additional services that these printers offer. There are also companies that offer do-it-yourself brochures online and this will also save you both time and money.

When choosing the paper for the brochure or postcard, most printers will suggest you use heavyweight and glossy paper. This is trustworthy advice since this style of paper adds a professional look to your brochures. The type of folding used for your brochure is also an important choice in printing your brochures. You will be given a choice between a single fold, tri-fold and the “Z” fold, and you should pick out the one that you think would present your brochure a better look. You should also ask your printer about any offers they can give you if you order in bulk since this can also save you more.

Brochures and post cards can be very effective advertising tools that will help you expand your business. Given this, knowing how to look for the printer that can best help you with your printing needs, can be an added bonus.

Making a new business in Scandinavia

To make commercial enterprise well, there are some issues to deal with before you engage in your endeavour. Among the most essential topics are financials, logistics and selling. In this article we’ll lead your business start.

Banks

The start thing to do is to check the proper bank to engage with. It’ll be wise to chose a big bank, preferable with branch in your country too. Among the large banking companies in Scandinavia you’ll find Jyske Bank and one of these banking companies will be a good option to begin with. When you have your commercial enterprise built and have experience on how the Danish TAX system functions, you can look for improved conditions in smaller and most often localized banks. Be sure to investigate about tax guidence for commercial enterprise, insurance topics and maybe real estate too. The large banking companies in Scandinavia run close relations to associated financial establishments for consulting, insurance and real estate.

Logistics

Denmark is a little country, but transportations is essential anyway, especially if you trade with retail or need involvement with other companions in Denmark and the Northern parts of Europe. There are 2 important links in the area to be mindful of, these are the Great Belt and Oeresund. One manner of handling travel topics is to employ with the Great Belt consortium and get your self a BroPas which makes it simple and smooth to pass the connections of Great Belt and Oeresund.

Online Marketing, SEO and Localized markets

Embarking a new marketplace almost constantly involves local knowledge. You can do your online marketing and SEO by engaging with a local advertising bureau, a local branch of an Worldwide ad agency or you can chose to charter with more than one agency, specialized in Magazine marketing and online SEO and marketing. For almost all companies the last mentioned solution is the best, most pointed and often the cheapest means to do advertizing in a localized market. PPC and SEO is best managed by local agencies, understanding the spoken language and culture of the local market.

Rackcards are useful for advertising events, vacation sites, and business information. These are a remarkable way to market your event, business, or attraction. The color and size of these rackcards definitely make them stand out and attract attention to your card.

The favored size of a rack card is 4×9. As soon as you order your cards, you need to be definite that you decide on a card with printing on both sides. This will offer you more area to inform about your business or event. These cards also look much better double sided. These cards from time to time are printed on various types of paper. They are often measured in points, referred to as pt. You ought to know that the higher the point number the thicker and harder the paper is. So you need to think about how flexible you desire your cards to be. Be definite you look at the options and pick what fits you and your advertising best. You can typically choose to get a coating added to the rack cards. This will help guard the finished merchandise. It will prevent fingerprints and scuffing from deteriorating your rack cards. Although, if your rack card will have a place for your customers to fill out a form or write anything, you may not want a coating because this cover prevents the ability to write on the card.

Rack cards are often available in hotels, rest areas, landmarks, convenience stores, restaurants and many other places. After you have your cards, you need to think about anywhere you will get the greatest results from placement of your cards. Think of the customers that wish visit your establishment and if they will be responsive in or want your services. A clever idea would be to get in touch with your local chamber of commerce and ask if you can also present your cards there or if they can give you some contact information of local organization that accepts rack cards.

Bryan Ellis - Virtual Real Estate Investing vs. Physical Real Estate Investing

Filed under: Money Making, Real Estate, World Of Marketing — admin at 6:14 pm on Monday, December 29, 2008

Landlords and rehabbers take notice - you may soon be focused on the new concepts of “Virtual Real Estate Investing“. What is meant by “Virtual Real Estate Investing” ranges from online games like SecondLife (where real profit can be made) to the use of internet technologies to make normal real estate investors more profitable.

To find out the real story, I had a conversation with Bryan Ellis, widely considered to be one of the originators of the concept of Virtual Real Estate Investing.

Ellis says he adopted the term “virtual real estate investing” sometime before Y2K after he realized that making money online is conceptually very similar to making money with physical real estate.

One example of the parallels between virtual and physical real estate Bryan Ellis cites is the similarity between the monetization of domain names versus physical property. “There’s a huge difference between a website and a piece of real estate, but the ways you can profit from them are similar: ‘flipping’, rental/leasing, advertising sales, etc…all of these apply to both markets” he states.

The parallels really are obvious. Consider this: If you own a piece of real estate in a desirable neighborhood, your real estate has value because other people are interested in that location. Similarly, ownership of a desirable domain name is valuable for the same reasons. In either case, you could sell or lease the asset and turn it into cash.

In our next installment of this series on virtual real estate investing, Bryan Ellis will share the internet analogies to the physical concept of real estate development.

Beginner’s Guide to Network Marketing / MLM

Filed under: World Of Marketing — admin at 12:54 am on Wednesday, June 11, 2008

Network Marketing, also called MLM (multi-level marketing) can be very profitable. Many companies operate in this way, for example Amway, Kleeneze and the Body Shop.

The main requirement for this business is to be good at selling. Don’t despair if you’re a shy wallflower as selling is a skill that can be learned, and in most network marketing companies you should be provided with plenty of training materials and help.

When you join a network marketing company there are two ways of earning money. Firstly, by selling the company’s products to the customer, you would then receive a percentage of the products you sell. Secondly you can also recruit other sales agents, while continuing to sell the products yourself. You would then receive commission for every sale your agents make also.

Although this is a profitable way to earn money, don’t be fooled by claims that it is easy to earn money with little effort.

It can be possible to get into a position whereby you build a large network of sellers, who provide you with an income with their efforts, but you have to put in the work and it doesn’t happen overnight.

If you are good at selling and are prepared to put in the work then this could be a very good way of making money.

There are a wide range of products available to make money. Choose a company whose products you like and perhaps would buy yourself, as this will make it much easier to sell.

Also make sure there are not too many agents for the company in the area you would like to work. This would make it difficult to sell a reasonable amount.

Try to find a proactive, experienced and helpful agent when deciding on which company to join. They will be the ones providing you with the most training and advice. Some agents
provide regular training sessions and online forums to help and encourage each other.

Request information from several people or companies before making a decision.

You don’t need any qualifications to join. You will be trained by the company you join to sell the product you choose.

Once you have chosen the company you wish to sell for, you will need to purchase their basic kit - this can be as little as a short training guide and some catalogues, to a package of products, stationery, catalogues and training materials. You should not be required to buy the products yourself to sell on. It is common however, to be expected to pay for some samples of the products at up to $200.

It is then up to you to make contacts to sell the products. You can sell through friends and their friends, work colleagues, special events, schools (check first), holding a party, or anywhere you can leave a catalogue in their business or office.

To work in network marketing you will need energy and resilience and a tough skin to cope with the many rejections!

At the start you may only be making a small amount, but successful people with a big network can make $200,000.

However this is not common and the average earnings are around $8,000 a year.

Pros

If you are comfortable with selling and have or can make contacts you could persuade to sell to, you can make good money.

Good way of meeting people.

Flexible working hours.

Help, training and encouragement from your upline (the person that you joined the networking company through)

Ready-made business

Cons

Lot of time and effort required.

Initial earnings can be quite low.

Could lose friends if you try too hard to sell products to them or try to make them become agents too.

Start up costs (although usually relatively low - less that $200.

Must be good at selling, or be willing to learn how to sell.

Blocked, Stumped And Stuck: 12 Prompts To Get You Writing!

Filed under: World Of Marketing — admin at 7:34 am on Sunday, May 25, 2008

Beginning writers often wonder how to start writing. It’s theworry they get themselves into right away that mostly hindersthem from getting anything written down.

Experienced writers often get stuck in the middle of their novels, stories or articles. They sometimes agonize and worry about whatto write next and that’s how they are delayed.

Beginning and experienced writers and the writers in between cansometimes fall into the trap of getting themselves “blocked.”

So here are 12 writing prompts you, the beginning writer or theexperienced one, can use to start off your writing.

PROMPT # 1 “I write because…” Think of as many reasons as you can. Any reasons you know and feel you should and could write, and why you write. Then from your list, see if you can turn your reasons into an essay, a story or a poem.

PROMPT # 2 Sit still for five minutes. Close your eyes and listen. Don’t think, just listen. What sounds do you hear? Is there music? Rustling leaves? Is your TV on? After five minutes, write down all the sounds on a piece of paper. If you can’t think of the correct words for the sounds, write how they sounded (example: “bbbzzztttt” for something you heard). Now use the sounds on your list to create “sound poetry.”

PROMPT # 3: Use this prompt to start off your story: “When the dust settled, he saw…”

PROMPT # 4: Quotes are powerful writing starters. They evoke emotions, insights and inspirations for any writer. What’s your favorite quote? It may be something a famous dead person said, or a line in a song, or a passage in the Bible. Write the quote on top of your page and write your interpretation of your favorite quote. You can inspire, motivate or even impart a lesson.

PROMPT # 5: When was the last time you received a letter? Or a postcard? Who sent it? What did it say? Did you reply to the letter? Write yourself a letter. Pretend that you are somebody else. Put yourself in your neighbor’s shoes, or your old friend’s shoes. If you were them, what would you want to tell yourself, or want to know about yourself?

PROMPT # 6: When you ride a bus or a car in one of your trips, what do you do? Do you sleep during the trip? Do you stare out the window and watch unseeingly the view? Or do you take it all in — the greenery, the buildings, the people, the colors, the hues, the clouds? Recall the most recent trip you’ve had. Where did you come from and where were you going? Why were you going there? How long was the trip? What did you see on the way? This short exercise will help you with your power of recalling details. The more you recall, the more detailed your writing will be. Do this exercise on a regular basis and you will be able to write with good use of details.

PROMPT # 7: Watch your favorite movie. Afterwards, experiment on giving it different endings. If it’s a romantic movie with a mushy happy-ending, why not re-write the ending and say, have the guy end up with the other woman? Or if it’s an action film, ask yourself what would happen if the hero got killed. The thing here is you have to think of a different version for the movie’s ending.

Prompt # 8. Imagine you’re walking in a mall and all of a sudden, a woman grabs you by the hair and starts a catfight with you. What would you do? Would you fight back? If you’re a man, think of what you’ll do if another guy punched you on the nose for no reason at all. Would you punch back? Describe the “fight scene.”

Prompt # 9. Recall the last dream (or nightmare) you had. Describe the dream in detail.

Prompt # 10. If you were an animal, what would would you be? Why?

Prompt # 11. When you were in gradeschool, what was your most hated subject? Why did you hate it? Do you still hate it? Why or why not? Did the teacher have anything to do with it?

Prompt # 12. Put on your favorite CD or tape. What music comes out of it? When you listen to it, what do you feel? What comes into your mind?

I hope the prompts I have created for you will help you get thosewords out of your head and onto the paper.

Drop me a line and share with me your writing if you are inclined.Until then, great writing to you!

Popup Ads - Redesign Them and Explode Your Sales!

Filed under: World Of Marketing — admin at 9:24 am on Friday, May 23, 2008

Most people put popup ads and Spam in the same category; they
genuinely don’t believe in their effectiveness.

However, marketing statistics show that popup ads are powerful
marketing tools that can significantly increase your sales and
subscribers to your opt-in list or newsletter. On the flip side,
popup ads are the third most hated entity on the Internet, behind
Spam and adware. This is because most popup ads are the rude
interrupting variety that traps the user into an unending loop.

It is possible to produce Popups that provide relevant information
to users in a non-intrusive way. You just need to be sure that you
are providing relevant information to the visitors to your site
(information that they are already actively looking for.

If you are using conventional popup ads on your site, you may
have noticed oh, in the last year or so…that your opt in list has
been continually declining. You can attribute this decline to the
advent of the popup blocker. Just in case you’re not familiar with
pop-up blockers, here’s the short summaryover the past year, a
lot companies, even the major ISP’s (Internet Service Providers)
such as AOL, Google and Yahoo have been releasing software
designed to block pop-ups, so that anyone who has the software
installed can control how many pop-ups they see from what
website or even block them totally. In lots of cases, the average
Internet user doesn’t even know that they have a popup blocker
installed on their toolbar.

There is new technology available now that lets you create a new
type of popup ad. This ad is an animated floating ads that look
and behave like pop-ups but are essentially a part of the main web
page, so popup blockers can’t stop them.
Unlike conventional popups, which open new browser windows,
these ads are part of your web page.

Using this new technology, you can:

1. Conduct polls and surveys to can get useful feedback from your
visitors/aid your marketing efforts

2. Capture email addresses from visitors by offering them free
information

3. Use your thank you pages to introduce your visitors to your
other products. Since they are already in a buying mood, there is
a pretty good chance that they will be receptive.

4. Add “tips of the day” and change them every so often to
generate interest.

As a smart internet marketer, I’m sure you know that by capturing
the visitor’s email address, and then following up with them via an
effective auto-responder campaign, you can more than double your
chances of closing the sale. By using the new popup ads, you can
do exactly that!

Well-written articles can help you…

Filed under: World Of Marketing — admin at 6:26 pm on Wednesday, April 23, 2008

You’ve heard it time and time again: if you want to get your name out there, write articles and allow them to be freely reproduced (with a resource box pointing back to you, of course). Largely, that is true. Well-written articles can:

- help you build your profile as an expert

- draw traffic to your website, and

- help you to build a database of potential clients through associated e-courses or a newsletter.

So far you probably haven’t heard anything you didn’t already know. What YOU are likely to be struggling with is the process of actually writing the article. Sure, you can come up with the content - but how do you really grab those readers? How do you keep their attention all the way through? And most importantly, how do you make them want to come back for more?

Let’s assume that you understand the basics of constructing and editing an article (it has a beginning, middle, and an end and you know how to check the grammar and spelling.) Most of us can manage that. But if you’re not content with simply “getting something out there” - if you want to WIN readers - then you need to start thinking about what they want to know, rather than what you want to tell them.

Put your readers first - every time. Give them what they want, and they’ll be queuing up to read anything you produce. Give them something bland (or worse, blatantly self-serving) and they’ll blast by you so fast you’ll be spinning in the back draft.

The following four steps will give you a blueprint for writing articles that captivate your readers - whatever the topic.

== 1. Find Out What Your Readers Really Want ==

Sometimes you’ll know what they want because you’re an expert in the field, and understand the problems. If you don’t know the subject area well, you’ll have to do more research. Look for forums on your topic and see what people are discussing. What are the problems that need solving? Can you provide an answer? (”If they have a headache, give them an aspirin.”)

== 2. Start With An Attention-Grabber ==

Spend time working on your opening. Try to avoid trite questions like “Have you ever wondered why so many people find it difficult to lose weight?” Firstly, it’s dull. Secondly, it’s not targeting the person reading the article - what do they care about the difficulties “many people” have with losing weight? They only care about THEIR weight problem!

Try to come up with an opening paragraph that gives the reader that warm “Hey, this is about me!” feeling right away. Better still; try to generate a rush of excitement - “This could be the answer I’ve been looking for…”

Example: “The diet gurus make it all sound so easy: to lose weight, all you have to do is expend more energy than you take in. Huh! If it were that simple, the “Big People” stores would be out of business in a heartbeat. Luckily for those of us who are tired of diets, gyms and dull group meetings, there is a back-to-basics way to tackle this. A way that won’t cost you a fortune or leave you feeling deprived.”

== 3. Write As You Speak… Then Edit! ==

The sample opening above also illustrates the importance of the tone you use in your article. You need ‘meat’ in each article, of course, to make it worth reading - but make sure it’s not indigestible!

You’re better off writing your article in a natural, relaxed style that’s akin to normal conversation. It doesn’t matter if the first draft is a little too informal - you can fix that when you edit. Naturally you don’t want to irritate your readers with a too-breezy style, but too-formal is worse. Readers may want facts, tips, and strategies, but they hope to be entertained, too! Let your personality shine through.

== 4. End On A High ==

What’s one of the biggest problems with most articles? They fizzle out! Writers often don’t know how to end on an upbeat note. They either just stop dead or they come up with a trite ending like: “So what are you waiting for? Get started today!”

The beginning and the end of your article are the two parts that make the biggest impression. Start by creating a feeling of anticipation… and leave them feeling satisfied (or excited) when you finish.

If you are offering advice to help them solve a problem (like obesity) gives your readers a reason to feel optimistic and good about them. Don’t make rash promises… but do offer hope. If you are giving hints on marketing or business, sum up the benefits of acting on your tips. You can also experiment with using a pithy/humorous quote, or giving readers a specific action to get them started. Be creative - and don’t rush it.

Here’s a final tip: create an article-writing cheat-sheet for yourself. Divide it into beginnings/middles/ends and add more useful strategies as you think of them. (For example, using the tips in this article, you might write: ENDINGS - end on a high, offer hope, use funny quote, suggest action to get started.)

Do this, and you’ll be steadily cranking out articles that everyone wants to publish!
